Three years ago when Bottle Riot was known as the District Wine Bar, chef Dream Kasestatad held a “one night only” pop-up of his famous street Thai food. Dream is coming back, again for one night only, Tuesday, July 27th!
Dream was surrounded by authentic Thai food his whole life in his family’s restaurants. He began preparing Pad Thai dishes in his LA apartment for local bars to supplement his acting career. Once LA Weekly discovered his popular dishes and spread the word, Dream began cooking at festivals and special events and soon after kicked off nationwide tours of bars and restaurants. In 2018 he brought the pop-up to Asheville to the District Wine Bar and they’ve kept in touch ever since.
For this special Pranom Pop-Up, you can feast upon Chef Kasestatad’s Pad See Ew – rice noodles with egg, Chinese broccoli, bean sprouts, dry chillis, and lime (chicken or vegan) at $13 a serving. The servings begin at 5p until it runs out!
You can find the perfect wine to pair the dish with the help of special guest German wine importer Stephen Bitterolf, or one of the many brews that Bottle Riot also offers.
