Every April, the Asheville Brewer’s Alliance partners with Our VOICE —Asheville and Buncombe County’s rape crisis and human trafficking prevention center— for Pints for Our VOICE, a collaborative fundraiser designed to raise funds and awareness during National Sexual Assault Awareness Month in support of people in the community who have been impacted by sexual violence, while working to prevent that violence in the first place.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of pints caused by the statewide COVID-shutdown last April, they weren’t able to host the event in 2020.

In the past, participating members of the Alliance have donated $1 per pint of a select beer sold during the month of April to Our VOICE. This format is 100% flexible—members have donated a portion of sales for a single day, collected donations, and made cash donations to Our VOICE.

For members outside Buncombe County, Our VOICE has said they can collect funds under the Pints for Our VOICE umbrella, and coordinate getting those funds to rape crisis centers in your region.

No tasting room? No problem! ALL members are welcome and encouraged to support in any way they can.

What’s in it for participants (other than supporting an amazing cause)?

*All participating members are invited to attend one of two virtual Bar Outreach Training sessions with an Our VOICE educator for free. The Bar Outreach Training will focus on Drug and alcohol-Facilitated Sexual Assault (DFSA) prevention and intervention. This powerful partnership strives to create a resilient community that is free of sexual violence, where bar staff, brewers, managers, and owners become allies in alcohol and drug-facilitated sexual assault prevention.

*All participating members will be included in Our VOICE’s press release to local media, social media promotions, monthly newsletter, and a logo on their website.
