Asheville is filled with some of the best chefs and restaurants in the entire country. Whether it’s a restaurant or food truck you know that you’re about to experience some inventive and creative fresh food.
When Asheville Strong was created, it created a way for us to show our support for our local businesses that we love so much during the most difficult year that any brick and mortar business could imagine.
Last summer a digital cookbook featuring recipes found in Asheville restaurant’s kitchens raised funds for NCRLA’s Restaurant Workers Relief Fund. The money raised from that effort helped 25 local hospitality workers with personal grants. A second digital version and a hard copy will both be available this spring!
If you love the feel of a hard copy cookbook in the kitchen (what is a cookbook without spills and messes adorning the pages?), then the Asheville At Home cookbook will be a welcome addition! The money raised will benefit Feed Our City, a program to feed people in need here in Buncombe County by contracting local restaurants to provide hot meals to individuals. Simply put, Feed Our City is a program designed to help as many people in Buncombe County as possible.
The book will feature Asheville-famous recipes from appetizers, to main dishes, to the sides, and desserts that you can make in your own kitchen!
You’ll find recipes from Asheville favorites like Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack, The Corner Kitchen, Rezaz, Vinnie’s Italian, Biscuit Head, Curate, Chestnut, Vivian, Limones, Creekside Taphouse, Posana, The Market Place, Old Europe, Chai Pani, Buxton Hall BBQ, BimBeriBon, Sawhorse, Ivory Road Cafe, Foothills Meats, Chupacabra Latin Cafe, RosaBees, Thai Pearl, Blue Dream Curry, Jargon, Zambra, Ultimate Ice Cream, and more!
The physical edition will be priced at 29.95, the second digital edition will be 19.95.
