On the bright side, there are now two days to be sure not to cook.

WNCAP, the Western North Carolina AIDS Project, has had to postpone its signature fundraiser, Dining Out For Life. However, you can now be part of Dine IN For Life on Thursday, April 30.

Dine IN For Life is simple: Order takeout or delivery from your favorite participating restaurant – or purchase a gift card. Then, consider making a donation to WNCAP to support its community services. You’re also asked to snap a selfie of your lifesaving takeout and post to social media to encourage others to virtually join you.

“As we all face this current public health crisis, our clients are in desperate need of WNCAP’s services,” says WNCAP Executive Director Antonio Del Toro. “Assistance with rent, food delivery, pharmacy and harm reduction services are all more critical now than ever before. Our amazing staff and volunteers are stepping up to the plate – but we can’t sustain this life-saving work without community support.”

In normal times, when Dining Out For Life encourages people to gather at participating restaurants, those eateries donate ten percent of sales to WNCAP. For Dining IN, the organization is not asking for direct contributions from restaurants. Instead, WNCAP is rallying community support around local restaurants that have supported nonprofits over the years.

If you do make a donation to WNCAP or post to social media using #WNCAP, you’ll be entered to win a $500 gift card, thanks to Mosaic Community Lifestyle Realty.
