While we may not be able to actually travel for vacations, it can certainly taste that way.

For the first time ever, the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel chain is sharing a bake-at-home recipe for its signature chocolate chip cookies. If you’ve ever attended a special event held at the DoubleTree Biltmore and come through the hotel’s front entrance, you’ve probably inhaled the amazing aroma of its trademark treats.

“We know this is an anxious time for everyone,” Shawn McAteer, senior vice-president and global head of DoubleTree by Hilton, said in a company news release. “A warm chocolate chip cookie can’t solve everything, but it can bring a moment of comfort and happiness.”

The DoubleTree cookie was the first food to baked in orbit on the International Space Station. Here on our planet, more than 30 million are eaten each year. Copycat versions have been shared online for years, but this is the first time the hotel has issued the official recipe.

“We hope families will enjoy the fun of baking together during their time at home, and we look forward to welcoming guests with a warm DoubleTree cookie when travel resumes.”
