Enjoy a big bite of the bayou, right on the banks of the French Broad.

Asheville Mardi Gras hosts the Cajun Cook Off, a food and music festival at Salvage Station from 12 to 5 pm Sunday, Feb. 9.

A dozen local chefs will be bringing their best Cajun dishes, and you get to vote on your favorite. Tickets at the door are $20 if you’re a member of Asheville Mardi Gras, or $30 for others. Enjoy all you can eat samples, as Zydeco Ya Ya plays the sounds of the Big Easy.
