A Run With A Bushel Of Fun: Race To The Taps In Apple Country

Get EXCIDERED! Mix 96.5’s Race to the Taps’ four brewery crafted 5-milers is kicking off the series on St. Patty’s day weekend at Bold Rock Hard Cider!

Mix 96.5’s Race to the Taps will go green for the first run of the 2017 series at 11am Saturday, bold rockMarch 18 at Bold Rock Hard Cider in Mills River! Get your shamrock on in celebration of the St. Patty’s 5 miler at the series’ first ever host cidery. Event Director Nikki Mitchell encourages all runners to wear St. Patty’s themed to contend for King or Queen of the Taps. “As they say at Bold Rock, we’re excidered to see what costumes our runners show up in on race day, whether it’s a cider-inspired pair of pears or a lucky leprechaun.”

To get in the St. Patty’s Day spirit, just imagine the 5 miler as a rainbow with a pint of Bold Rock’s golden cider at the end.

Bold Rock Hard Cider has an open meadow for runners and spectators to enjoy the post-race party a sponsor booth village and party tunes from DJ Kipper. Bold Rock’s own Feed Trailer will be onsite to serve up ribs, pulled pork, and tacos. There will also be beer served for those that aren’t cider inclined. Stick around for the award ceremony where there will be prizes for Middle of the Pack, fastest runner in their age category and King and Queen of the Taps. BR-250x250

2017 is the year of the 5 milers! Get started today by registering for the first of the series at Bold Rock Hard Cider here! Runners 21+ with a valid ID will receive a crisp cider after the race. A portion of the proceeds of the Bold Rock 5 Miler will benefit youth leadership program Girls on the Run.
