Caleb Johnson To Headline BaconFest Asheville

When you’re throwing a summer bash based on all things bacon, you can’t start planning too early. Clear your calendar as 105.9 the Mountain puts on BaconFest Asheville, presented by Ingles. The event returns to Highland Brewing on August 26 from 1 to 4 pm.

“We are going to have a swine time again,” says Nikki Mitchell, the Mountain Events Director. “Last year, we served up bacon bread, bacon jam, bacon ice cream, beans, barbecue, and dishes you’d never think to put bacon in, but will never be able to enjoy again without it.”

IMG_9414Asheville’s own American Idol Caleb Johnson is the special guest at the year’s BaconFest Asheville, and will perform at this year’s fun fest. He joined Brian Blades on the Mountain for the special announcement.

“Caleb has been a loyal listener since before performing on ‘Idol’, and having him entertain our guests makes this year extra special,” Brian says. “People will be able to hear Caleb sing as they visit all of the talented chefs stationed around BaconFest. It’ll will be a great event for bacon lovers of all ages.”

baconinglesTickets go on sale July 24, including a VIP package that gets you in an hour early, access to a special tasting area, and on-site parking.
